I just came back from Kedah last night at 8:45p.m. The trip was quite OK but we were a little disappointed when we found out that we were not going to stay at a chalet that was located by the seaside but in a long-legged wooden house in a small kampung. They promoted their village as a tourism spot to earn money. The food was not so bad but we had to eat with our hands. The dinner for the first day was rice with cabbages and a piece of fish. OMG...
The second day, we went to The Tree Top Walk in Sg. Sedim. It was said to be the longest canopy in the world, 925m in length. I bought a souvenir, a wood crafted key-chain costing me RM8. It was expensive! In the afternoon, we cooked our own lunch in the rain. No, it's under a tent in the rain. I didn't do much help as I NEVER cooked! I just cut the chicken meat and helped Eleen in cooking the rice. Well, this was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it. For dinner, we had a barbeque and we were going to leave the place tomorrow because our teachers didn't wish to be there one more day, as well as most of the participants.
In the morning 6.30 a.m., we left Sg. Sedim and went to Penang. We went for shopping. I HATE shopping...You know why? I hate to walk with the desire to buy clothes but alas, no money...felt terrible like this.We went to Queensbay mall but had to wait until 10.30 a.m. because it's not opened yet. So boring...one and a half hour sitting outside The Coffee Bean.
In the Queensbay mall, I bought a SCOOP of Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip ice-cream. Can you guess how much it costs? RM 11.50! For a SCOOP only! OMG! It's killing me...Never mind, it's delicious, worth for me to have a try. Then, to Beard Papa's for a chocolate cream bun...RM3.80...Duhh...It's not so nice...I planned to buy a piece chocolate chip cookie from Starbucks but there's no stock. Later on, I went to Sushi King to search for my friends. I NEVER eat Sushi. I tried sushi for the first time. Not so bad as I thought. But I still like food from my own country better. The bill...RM 111.00...The tax for government 5%, tax for waiters RM 10.00! WalaoA! Is there any tax for waiters anywhere else?
No money for Padini, MNG, Nike, Body Glove...If I buy a shirt, I'll be a beggar in no time. But, I did bought a shirt for supporting recycling. It says: I'm Not Trashy I Recycle. Not bad, eh?
Next, we went to Pacific, Watlah...it's just The Store in disguise. Nothing special...Looks just like the shopping centres in Indonesia. We went to Mc Donald's and I burnt my tongue accidentally because of slurping a whole mouth of HOT Milo without any idea that it's hot...==''' So pain...My tongue blood today. It is awful.
Back in Sitiawan, I bathed and played my laptop until 12.30 a.m.and finally went to sleep.
